 bullet_2 Jan. 2014 – SOLKOA, Inc. announces a new name for its consumer survival product line.  SOLKOA Survival Systems (S3) is the new name for SOLKOA’s line of professional grade survival products available to the general public.  These products include Fastfire™, the Faststrike™, the SUMA™ Container, the Grip-S™ and an expanding line of emergency survival kits and modules.  All these products are available to consumers at www.solkoasurvival.com.  SOLKOA is also seeking qualified resellers in the U.S. and abroad.

bullet_2Oct 2013 – SOLKOA, Inc. introduces a new Personal Survival Kit (PSK).  The PSK provides 28 top-of-the-line U.S. military grade quality items that can be utilized world-wide for serious survival situations.  Great for travelers and all outdoors enthusiasts.  The PSK comes packed in a clam shell design nylon case with Velcro contents retaining straps and an exterior map window.  Available at www.fast-fire.com.

bullet_2 Aug 2013 – The U.S. Navy exercised its 2nd year option for SOLKOA, Inc. to provide Level-C SERE cadre and conduct instructional support to the US Navy’s High-Risk SERE/PR Training Programs on the east and west coasts in Kittery, Maine and San Diego, California.

bullet_2 Jun 2013 – SOLKOA, Inc. purchases new headquarters building.  SOLKOA has relocated its headquarters and manufacturing operations to 385 S. 31st St. in Colorado Springs, CO.  The new facility provides 2,000 sq. ft. of office space and 10,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and production space in a free standing building on a one acre site.

bullet_2 Dec 2012 – SOLKOA, Inc. names Jeff Schneider as CFO.  Mr. Schneider has joined the company full time after providing finance and accounting services on a contract basis over the last 4 years.   Mr. Schneider is a CPA with almost 30 years of experience in public accounting and a variety of industries.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and an MBA in finance.

bullet_2 June 2012 – SOLKOA, Inc.  forms an Airborne Training Division.  The Airborne Division of SOLKOA provides multiple levels of Canopy Control Courses for special operations forces of the Army and Air Force.  Mike Olivella is the Director of the Airborne Division which is located in central FL.

bullet_2 Jan 2012 – SOLKOA, Inc. names Adam Yates the Director of Product.  Mr. Yates has been with the company for 2 ½ years.   Mr. Yates previously served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for 8 years.  Prior to joining SOLKOA, he was a Production Control Manager for a manufacturing company.  He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. 

bullet_2 Jan 2012 – SOLKOA, Inc. names Judson McClantoc the Director of Training and the Deputy Program Director for the Navy S.E.R.E. School.  Mr. McClantoc has been with the company since Sept. 2007 starting as an instructor at the U.S. Army Aviation S.E.R.E. School at Ft. Rucker, AL.  During his time at the S.E.R.E. School he was a Training Supervisor and Training Manager.  Mr. McClantoc previously served his country in the U.S. Army Military Police.  He also has experience in law enforcement as the Chief of Police for the Webb Police Department in Webb AL.

bullet_2 Oct 2010 – SOLKOA, Inc.’s leadership & select company SERE Instructors donated their time and effort to design and execute a new wilderness skills and adventure leadership program for the Central Florida Region of the Boy Scouts of America. Known as The Gauntlet, this rigorous experiential program was a huge success, garnering enthusiastic support from participating Eagle Scouts and local BSA staff. Several other BSA Councils across the nation have expressed interest in hosting a Gauntlet event in the future as it has already proven to help mitigate membership attrition and reenergize the BSA’s stature in providing challenging and rewarding programs based in wilderness fundamentals and timeless values of the western civic tradition. This philanthropic initiative is completely aligned with SOLKOA’s own core values and competencies, allowing our company to help the BSA strengthen and prepare our youth for their critical roles in leading our Nation into the future.

bullet_2 May 2008 – SOLKOA, Inc.’s Personnel Recovery products and services are presented in the 2008 edition of The Year in Special Operations.   Two of the magazine’s articles also featured historical narratives on modern PR/SERE contingencies occurring during Operation Red Wing in Afghanistan, June 2005, and an interview with Mike Durant from Task Force Ranger in Somalia, October 1993.

bullet_2 Jan 2008 – SOLKOA, Inc. wins prime contract, base year and four option years, to conduct specialized SERE & Personnel Recovery training courses for select elements of the US Army. These advanced programs are designed to complement (not replace) existing DOD SERE & PR courses with state-of-the-art and adaptive TTPs that address some of today’s immediate PR challenges and emerging threats to US ground forces operating in high risk regions abroad.

bullet_2 Jul 2007 – Our Government Products Division gets into full swing with multiple prime contracts to provide specialized SERE & PR kits and tools for an increasing number of DOD (Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines), as well as several other deploying US federal agencies and organizations.  SOLKOA’s component options now draw from over 100 best-of-breed manufacturers & suppliers along with our own in-house produced items to create focused SERE & PR capabilities designed exclusively for each client.

bullet_2 Aug 2006 – SOLKOA, Inc. opens its new SERE kit & equipment warehouse and assembly facility to meet the growing demand for its unique, client-tailored survival, E&E, and personnel recovery equipment offerings.

bullet_2 Jul 2006 – SOLKOA, Inc. awarded subcontract to provide and train cadre, develop fresh instructional content, and help launch the Army’s newest Level C SERE Program at Fort Rucker, AL.  This world-class, three-week program will begin in 2007, providing the very latest PR/SERE education, practical techniques and technologies to over 3680 military students annually during 46 iterations per year.

bullet_2 Jul 2005 – SOLKOA, Inc. awarded subcontract to support the Army’s Rapid Equipping Force (REF), Fort Belvoir, VA in immediately developing and implementing new PR/SERE capabilities to better protect soldiers conducting stability and support (SASO) mission profiles in the Iraqi Theater of Operations (ITO).
